Wally and Wilbur Morgan have been fishing since they were children. Their Father, Wendell grew up very poor where fishing was a way to eat. Wendell made sure that his two boys knew the basics of life and were good at them. Wally, Not a gifted athlete he spent much of his high school spare time at the river just south of town. The Smoky Hill River would become the birthplace of the dream job for both boys. Wally is married with 2 children and enjoys that his hobby can also be his business and lifestyle.
Wilbur Morgan, the athlete of the family. As a High School State Champion Shot-putter Wilbur earned a partial scholarship to Fort Hays State University. He also lettered in Wrestling in High School, for which he is well known around northern Kansas. After Wilbur completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, he returned home to Wilson to help Wally Launch a business endeavor that the two have dreamed about since childhood. In 1996 the two joined together to open the White Buffalo Fly Shop. Now the two enjoy fishing and discussing why Wilbur “can catch anything but a woman?”
